How it works

Enable SSO in Lumen5 In Lumen5’s account settings, select “Configure SSO.” Upload or link your Azure AD metadata and set the configuration.

Register Lumen5 as an application in Azure Entra ID In the Azure portal, go to Enterprise Applications and add Lumen5 (or create a custom non-gallery app). Then open the Single Sign-On pane and choose SAML.

Assign users and groups and test access Within Azure, assign the Lumen5 application to the appropriate users or groups. Test the login flow to ensure users can sign in with their Azure credentials.

Enforce policies and go live Apply conditional access, MFA requirements, or session controls in Azure for the Lumen5 application. Set SSO as mandatory and roll out to your organization.

Is this SSO integration included in all plans? SSO is supported on Lumen5 Enterprise. Contact your account manager to enable it.

Which authentication protocols are supported? Lumen5 works with standard SSO protocols compatible with Azure Entra ID, including SAML 2.0.

Can we require MFA or device checks for Lumen5 access? Yes. Use Azure conditional access policies for the Lumen5 application to require MFA, device compliance, or location restrictions.

Will this replace Lumen5’s own workspace user management? Authentication is handled by Azure, but Lumen5 still controls workspace permissions and roles once a user signs in through SSO.

What if we already have Azure AD and on-premises Active Directory? Azure supports hybrid identity scenarios such as seamless SSO for domain-joined devices or federated AD setups. You can connect those systems and still enable SSO for cloud apps like Lumen5.
