This past weekend was Canada’s Thanksgiving Day, and we’re so thankful for all the customers, partners, and team members who supported our growth throughout the years.
The non-profit sector has always faced challenges to overcome when it comes to marketing and promoting its efforts with fundraising and donations.
According to a report ran in 2019 by Salesforce.org surveying 404 nonprofit marketing professionals, one of the biggest constraints that non-profits face is budget constraints when it comes to marketing. This is consistent across most organizations, regardless of size and profile.
As a Canadian-founded company, we wanted to give back to the community by using Lumen5 to help create short, snappy videos that help tell their stories.
Led by our Revenue Operations Manager, Kevin Jiang, our team had the opportunity to pick a local charity of their choice to create a marketing video for their respective organization.

The Indian Residential School Survivor Society (IRSSS) is a provincial organization with a twenty-year history of providing services to Indian Residential School Survivors.

Paws for Hope strives to shift the culture of companion animal welfare in British Columbia by creating new models of practice and remediating the underlying causes of harm through cross-sector collaboration, education, and advocacy.
Vancouver Rabbit Rescue & Advocacy
Vancouver Rabbit Rescue and Advocacy was incorporated in 2003 as a non-profit British Columbia society, became a Canadian registered charity shortly thereafter (#88248 1609 RR0001) and in 2009 became the Vancouver Chapter of the House Rabbit Society. We are dedicated to raising awareness of rabbits as house pets, to the care and shelter of abandoned and neglected rabbits, and to provide education regarding the problems of rabbit breeding, selling and their care.
VOKRA – Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue
Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA) is a volunteer-driven non-profit dedicated to the rescue of cats in the Lower Mainland. We also coordinate rescue work with other groups in BC.VOKRA has a no-kill policy and does not operate a traditional shelter. Instead, we have more than 350 individual foster homes throughout the Lower Mainland. In a home environment, our cats are safe and well socialized, with lots of love and attention. VOKRA covers all of the costs and provides ongoing support to foster families.
International China Concern (ICC)
International China Concern (ICC) was founded in 1993 by David Gotts after seeing firsthand the suffering of children with disabilities who had experienced abandonment and left without hope in desperate conditions in China.
In the beginning, ICC sent short-term teams into China to provide care in government welfare centres. Later, we established permanent locations which provide full-time family-style care for children in Changsha and Hengyang in Hunan Province.
